Google have released version 3.5 of their free image management application, Picasa.
Available for PC and Mac in English only, Picasa 3.5 adds functionality that bring the desktop client features in line with those already offered on Picasa Web Albums. The Linux version of Picasa, which currently stands at version 3.0, has not been updated. (more…)
This simple, free application (Carroll) lets set a default screen resolution for each user account on a Windows computer. When a user logs in, Carroll starts automatically and adjusts the screen resolution appropriately. Most monitors look best at their native resolution. But if you’ve got a high resolution display and a family member with bad eyesight, they might prefer to user it at 800 x 600 pixels while you prefer 1680 x 1050. (more…)
There is a good news for Windows Vista users, the new DirectX 11 standard which is the latest version of DirectX used in the Windows 7 OS would now become available to Windows Vista users on Service Pack 2, if you are on older version of Vista you need to upgrade to Vista SP2 to be able to use the latest platform in DirectX gaming. On the other hand ATI has revealed its first DX 11 graphics card, which is expected to hit stores by the end of this month. (more…)
